Advertising sex education on Meta

Sex education is sensitive ground under Meta's advertising policies. An ad that Meta's review reads as adult content can be rejected, even when what is being sold is education. In a niche like this, every ad is written from the start to comply with those policies, with an educational tone and no double meanings. Even so, nobody can promise that Meta will approve an ad, and we don't promise it either.

What we did in the launch

Lead generation and messaging

The message shapes the whole launch: who it speaks to, what it offers and why to decide within those dates. We worked on it together with lead generation on Meta Ads, so that the ad and the offer spoke to the same person.

Creatives

We produced the ad creatives from that message.

Ads, funnel and sales page at the same time

We worked on all three pieces within the same launch. That way, what the ad promises is what people find when they enter the funnel and what they read afterwards on the sales page. When each piece is changed at a different time, or by a different person, the message breaks along the way and part of the ad spend is lost in that gap.

Launch results

With €4,600 spent on Meta Ads, the launch brought in €57,000. The figure covers the whole launch. Ads, funnel and sales page worked together, so we don't attribute it to a single channel or a single piece.

What you can take into your own launch

  • Check that everything tells the same story before you raise the ad spend. The ad, the funnel and the sales page have to say the same thing.
  • If your niche has strict policies, write for them from the very first ad. And keep variants ready in case Meta rejects one.
  • Set a threshold before you launch. In the audit we agree with you on the figure below which it isn't worth launching.

We run launches as a project with fixed dates: calendar, waitlist lead generation, reminder and sale, behaviour-based retargeting and a review of the results at the close. We also look at an evergreen funnel with you, which is the model we recommend. We explain it in marketing for course creators, and the ads side in our Meta Ads management. If you want to compare with other sectors, there are more case studies with figures.

What the client says

Nayara, from Sexperimentando, sums it up like this (translated from Spanish):

“I've felt really well supported throughout the process, and I feel I've got backup in lots of areas. It's like having a professional for every field, and they give you an overall strategic view of everything.”
